Cambodia YMCA

 

The Cambodia Young Men's Christian Association (Cambodia YMCA) has been operating since 1999. Cambodia YMCA is a Community Based Voluntary, Membership, and Youth Focused non-profit organization that supports people and communities. It provides the community with a wide variety of programs in order to reinforce education, health, fitness and personal development.

 

Starting from 2014, CBD is working with Combodia YMCA:

1. We reinforced the implementation of Alternative Tourism Program through our project Quality Homestay.

2. We carried out census survey, collect data and generate report to Combodia YMCA so as to identify needs of slum residents and establish future projects.

3. We stored first-aid materials in Combodia YMCA for wound management.

4. We implemented health promotion program and life review workshop with the help from Cambodia YMCA’s staff and volunteers.

 

Cambodia YMCA is playing a role of more than a temporary coordinator, who offers only support and volunteers for our projects. Indeed, they are a long-term collaborating partner, who is always part of our team aspiring to bring a transformative change to the Cambodia community.
