Census Survey

It is found that, local NGOs are lack of time and staff to visit the villagers in slum according to our observation last year. In spite of having resources for the needy, they do not have a suitable plan to allocate the resources effectively.

To understand households’ health and living conditions in a slum, a census survey had been conducted. It was divided into five aspects including:

  1. Personal information

  2. Education level

  3. Occupation

  4. Health condition

  5. Future expectation

All data collected was used to generate a report for Cambodia YMCA’s reference and hence to provide relative plans and services to the villagers according to their needs.

In order to bring sustainable effect, trainings were provided for local volunteers from Cambodia YMCA covering:

  • Questionnaire design & Interview skills

  • Data Analysis workshops

which aims at cultivating their social responsibility and promoting census survey to other communities in the future.
