Homestay is one of the unique experiences provided by the Alternative Tourism Program of CYMCA. In Samrong Village, there are total eight host families joining the program in two years. 

 

In order to improve the quality, popularity and recognition of homestay programme, we implemented a Quality Homestay project through:

 

• Carrying out home assessments and giving recommendations to potential host families;

• Providing visitor and host family with guidelines ;

• Promoting homestay program to foreigners by offering online-registration,

which aims at

1. promoting economic empowerment of local villagers,

2. improving living environment and

3. reinforcing local development and promoting cultural exchange by attracting foreign volunteers to stay in the village and carry out their service
